SHOW HISTORY
TONE POET PRODUCTIONS was created in Toronto, Canada in 2005 to present the production Piaf: Love Conquers All at The Toronto Fringe Festival. The show was awarded “Top 10 Patron's Pick”. The production then toured Ontario and Quebec in the summer of 2006 to great success. The Company presented the show in New York City in 2007 as part of the FringeNYC winning “Outstanding Musical”. It was then chosen to present at the Fringe Encore Series (Best of The FringeNYC). The Production had its first commercial Off-Broadway run at the SoHo Playhouse for a limited 10 week engagement in 2007-2008, and then traveled to Charleston SC, Teaneck New Jersey and then to Manila in the Philippines. It had a successful two week run at Centaur Theatre in Montreal then toured through British Columbia in the summer of 2009 ending up at Theatre Lac Brome in Knowlton
QC. A two week run in Ottawa rounded off 2009, and in 2010 the production was presented by Easterfront Theatre as part of the Supernova Theatre Festival in Halifax, then TPP produced it at The Eureka Theatre in San Francisco which ran for 4 weeks. Piaf: Love Conquers All was written in 1992 by Roger Peace and debuted at the Diligence Supper Club in Montreal with Patsy Galant as Edith Piaf and Peace as Director. The show then transferred to the Place Des Arts. In 1993, Ms.Emmerson, with Peace as director, starred in the production at the Limelight Supper Club in Toronto for 5 weeks. TPP is a multi-disciplinary production company developing performance and recording opportunities for theatre, music and live artists. It is also involved in music composition and production with Jake Langley as CEO and Naomi Emmerson as Artistic Producer.
